A new Gary Taxali limited edition print is being released through Dynamo Editions and the Jonathan LeVine Gallery entitled, “I Love Only You”. It’s a 6 colour silk screen on Arches, 270gsm, 25 x 35 inches, S/N edition of 50. Price $250.00. Dynamo Editions is the brainchild of Jonathan LeVine and Ken Golden. Their shared passion for underground art, pop surrealism and illustration has led them to collaborate with some of the most influential visual artists working today to create limited edition prints, sculpture and art objects. Jonathan LeVine established his namesake gallery, located in West Chelsea, in New York City, in 2005. The Jonathan LeVine Gallery is one of the country’s most influential institutions for contemporary art and showcases the work of a diverse roster of innovative artists who are influenced by street art, graffiti, pop culture, underground aesthetics and a DIY ethos.
Ken Golden is the founder and owner of the Laser’s Edge, an online music retailer that specializes in progressive rock, metal and psychedelic music. The company, including three in-house labels (the Laser’s Edge, Sensory, and Free Electric Sound) has been in business since 1988 and is the industry leader in the genre.
Gary Taxali was born in Chandigarh, India and raised in Toronto, Canada. Taxali graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCAD). Taxali is an award winning illustrator and his fine artwork has been exhibited in galleries in the United States and Europe as well as museums such as the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York and the Contemporary Art Museum in Rome. In 2011, two books of his work were released: Mono Taxali, published by 279 Editions, and I Love You, Ok? published by teNeues. In 2012, the Royal Canadian Mint released a special edition of six 25 cent coins which feature Taxali’s artwork. |
